The major supermarkets offer their own store card, and your first reaction would be to say no. DON'T. These will save you serious money almost everytime you shop, as some items will have two prices, one being the normal price, and the other being the store card price, anywhere from 10-50% off.
Supermarkets sell alcohol, which is a novelty for Australians, so you can buy your scotch or champagne with your milk and bread. Also, the major chains will have an in-store pharmacy.
